La Masía

Along this journey, we were always in search of our own space. After years of hard work, the doors finally opened and there it was- this place waiting for us: an uncultivated field, never before planted, offering us both the possibility and the challenge of creating in our own way.

Soils

Nowadays, we can no longer experience a wine without considering the soils from which its grapes come. In collaboration with the geophysicist Guillermo Corona, we worked on a detailed study of all the soil types present in our vineyard.

NATIVE FLORA

It is essential to approach this space to a conceptual land clearing, allowing us to engage with this space without invading what has been a source of profound inspiration. Guided by Dr. Lucía del Barrio in Agricultural Sciences, and her collaborator Lic. Vanesa Longo, we began an exhaustive study of the entire flora present.

FAUNA

Educating ourselves about the environment and contributing to species conservation begins with a deep connection to nature. Learning to percieve its movement and hearing its sounds immersed us within its embrace. Together with Biologist Agustín Zarco, we carry out birdwatching adventures and explore the rich diversity of species that inhabit our land.

ENTOMOLOGY

Studying the existing flora at La Masía, without considering its inhabitants, would have been an incomplete task, as our aim is to blend harmoniously with it in a respectful manner. We collaborated on its identification with Natural Resources Engineer Valeria Alemanno and her team.

Microbiology

To truly appreciate the richness of an ecosystem, it is essential to consider even the smallest inhabitants. Together with Dr. Melanie Roy and her team, we delve into the microbiology of the soil.

We chose to embrace the challenge using scientific tools that, as contemporary winemakers, we believe are inherent to our practice. It is essential to use these tools from our professional perspective, deeply committed to the world around us. These tools guide our pursuit of what drives us as individuals—to contribute our essence for a better world, with the conviction that we are sensitively treading the right path toward a transformative winemaking project.
